Michelle Obama by Annie Leibovitz on Vogue Cover

So the rumors were true indeed. Here is the March 2009 cover of American Vogue with First Lady Michelle Obama on the cover by photographer Annie Leibovitz at the Hay-Adams Hotel during the presidential inauguration.

Obama is the second First Lady to be on the cover of Vogue. The first one was Hillary Rodham Clinton in December 1998, also by Leibovitz.

Really pitiful how standards at Vogue are slipping. Obama is the first lady no one needs. No one has been waiting on her either. How much pandering is this new administration going to do?

Well said, Lyn... as far as the actual pictures themselves, I have to say they are unnatural and plain.
